sjd2015 5 Posted April 2, 2015 I've been slowly getting better the pain has subsided and now I'm just a little uncomfortable . I had a moment of truth since I couldn't sleep and questioned why I did this then stood on the scale and realized I'm already down 10 lbs... I guess this is a sacrifice that I am willing to take I can't wait until my body starts to feel normal again any-who best of luck to everyone who is a post op this is a challenge both mentally and physically and we can do it ! SuperDave 1,115 Posted April 2, 2015 In a couple weeks you won't even remember the pain. Hang in there! Congrats on the 10 pounds!
jane13 2,256 Posted April 2, 2015 I think that is what is going to motivate me and also eliminate my fear that I did something I may regret in 5 years. I have steadily gained in the past 10 years to get me to over 100lbs over my norm. I want to move and feel human again. SJD2015 YOU are on your way~
lewisnclark903 3 Posted April 5, 2015 7 days post op. Still feel so weak. I became dehydrated over the weekend. Ended up in the hospital for IV fluids. Bummed. Back at square 1.
iamjamilyn 58 Posted April 5, 2015 You will feel better. You have to realize you have had a major surgery- it is hard to remember that with just a few band aids on your stomach. I am 6 mo post and it is a faint memory now

I am 6 mo post and it is a faint memory now The hardest is going to family functions and watching everyone eat and knowing I can't eat anything since I'm still on liquids but I can't wait until this becomes a distant memory ☺️

LeeRN 32 Posted April 8, 2015 Post op day 3 here and I feel your pain. Today I feel a little better. I ambulated around the unit twice this morning. I'm amazed that I wasn't short of breath like I used to be. Eating and drinking is a real challenge. So far I've only had a few spoonfuls of Jello and a few sips of Water. I won't be going home today since I'm not really eating/ drinking and because of the nausea. Hang in There.. Every day will be better.
