A loss, a gain, a loss and a STALL ????

Recommended Posts

So I lost 23 pounds the first 2 weeks post op. The my cycle came and I gained 5 pounds. Then lost 3 and I've been stalled for a month! I saw my surgeon yesterday and he looked at my fitness pal diary and said I'm doing all the right things. It's so frustrating!! But he also said that the people who lose big up front usually stall pretty quickly and some people just lose gradually and don't stall for a few months. The only thing keeping me from going completely crazy is that some of my clothes are now falling off of me. I have gone down one size!! And my face seems to look slimmer....But I pray this stall is over soon!

If you lost a lot early on, did you stall fast and long?

You look great ( what a beauty!) and have done a great job with the weight loss! Stalls are just part of the process. It's kind of like taking a nice uphill hike. You gotta stop and rest and take in the view once in a while. Your body is just stopping to rest and take in the view. Keep your fluids up, Protein high and move a little and it will pass.

Miss Mac says it best. Stalls are like lovers. Your first probably won't be your last ;)

Thank you! I'm doing the elliptical for 10 minutes three times a day. I hate this thing but it's what I have so onward and downward! ????

You do look great!

I too am already starting to worry -- I'm at my third week post-op and I lost 25 lbs right off the bat, now I see myself going up and down a pound every other day. My NUT also said as you introduce new foods into your diet, your body needs to adjust to it. I hope that is the case indeed!
