April 1st Sleevers! Tomorrow is our Day!

Recommended Posts

No weird taste but I do feel like I have a brick in my throat. Trying to get liquids down without over filling... this is going to take a lot of practice. Gas pains have finally subsided for me, hopefully for you all as well.

Earlier I felt like I was hit by a Mack truck! But now I'm okay, I had a butterfinger Protein Shake that was to die for! And lots of Water, still not hungry and no metal taste in my mouth so this tells me that tomorrow will just be better !

Please share that recipe (I have one more day on CL but I will be ready on Monday)! I got my drain out today and was discharged early afternoon. But I'm finding it harder to get comfortable at home. Coming home feels like I lost my safety net. I don't have a call light if I feel nauseated or pain. Not getting the IV fluids so really needing to force myself to drink. Small sips still hurt occasionally. How much liquid on average is everyone up to right now?

I am so glad I did not get a drain! It does feel like that coming home at first but I promise you'll adjust I have been more comfortable here than in the hospital. I haven't really been counting but I think I have had one full 16oz Poland Spring bottle today a few sips of broth, my amazing Protein shake and now my SF Italian ice !

I've had about 10 oz of Water and 2 partial shakes. The only pain I still have is occasional stomach cramping from drinking water.

Today I had:

17 oz Water

1/2 a bottle of a Premier shake

1/2 can of broth

The gas pains have come and gone through out the day, but they weren't bad enough for me to take anything for it.

Ooh and I got 2871 steps on my fitbit.

Congrats to everyone sticking to the Pre-op and Post-op plans.

Today is a hard day for me since it's Easter and I don't have the mindset to be around food yet. I just want to stay home and watch movies.

Hi April I peeps, ( sorry to mention peeps on Easter Sunday, because it isn't difficult enough..)

So today I have sucked on, then spit out., homemade Mac and cheese shells and maple glazed ham, that I made for the fam. Not my proudest moments, but mildly satisfying. The family left the dishes for me to do - Ive already discussed that last part with husband and teen daughters...

I have burped down two Mexican chocolate shakes (chocolate Pure Protein, cinnamon and a little extra unsweetened cocoa, ole') a chobani yogurt and not enough Water but the night is young. I may still rinse my mouth with the hummus, lobster bisque or cream of mushroom Soup I've got squirreled away for taste/texture emergencies.

Not the cheeriest sleever, but we can do anything for a few weeks, right?

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
