eyhornmom 36 Posted March 30, 2015 I'm 1 week post-op today. I feel like I should be feeling better than I am. I got on my treadmill today to walk 30 minutes. It was a very slow (2 mi/hr) walk and I was only able to last 10 minutes. Now I'm exhausted and my back hurts like I've been working out crazy hard. I feel like a slow 30 minute walk should be no big deal, but now I need a nap! Am I expecting too much, or should I be pushing myself harder?

carolinacrumb88 21 Posted March 30, 2015 (edited) You are being too hard on yourself... I was in the hospital last week for 4 days 3 nights when most are out after 1 night! But it is AMAZING how much better I feel now just a few days later. Don't push yourself past what you feel you can do (dont want to rip stitches!) and just feel it out day by day. Just getting on the treadmill is great a week after surgery. You will be able to do a little more each day! You got this PS I am one week out as well Edited March 30, 2015 by carolinacrumb88
