JeninCO 0 Posted June 10, 2007 Which one is better? Or which one do you use more? (Sorry, I meant to generate a poll with my last post)
maudeispam 2 Posted June 10, 2007 I have used Mapquest, Google maps & Yahoo maps. Out of the three, Mapquest gave the most accurate and detailed directions & mapping.
Carlene 12 Posted June 11, 2007 If it weren't for MapQuest, I would never get where I'm going.

babygrl1234 6 Posted June 12, 2007 I always use yahoo. For some reason my old computer would not show the map for mapquest so I got in the habit of using yahoo.
joe7777 1 Posted June 13, 2007 Topic is moot...shouldnt be which one you use more but which is best. Google maps, true that, double true
Lucy 0 Posted June 16, 2007 I think they all suck equally. I'm partial to the road map atlas in my car.
joe7777 1 Posted June 16, 2007 can a road atlas draw out a route for you? Can it show you satellite view? Of course its always good to have one in the car, but really if you have a specific place to go, maps are too cumbersome.
green 6 Posted June 16, 2007 I love Mapquest. But I have to admit that I have never tried any of the other options listed.

green 6 Posted June 17, 2007 I use Mapquest to get around my city. It is a big city and it is useful to be able to orient myself whether I am going by public transit or my husband is driving. And there are a number of one-way streets. Mapquest indicates these and this can be valuable info when we are taking the vehicle.
joe7777 1 Posted June 17, 2007 How do you think people got around before the internet? Thats not an argument. It's like saying how do you think people did things before the micro-wave...of course it's an alternative...but internet map sites are the future. Or in-car GPS or whatever. Lucy 0 Posted June 17, 2007 I'm not trying to argue with you, I'm just stating my point. Internet maps are not going to make paper maps obsolete. They are an alternative. I stopped using internet maps because the directions are almost always wrong when I've used them or they give me the worst directions that take me miles and miles out of the way. When I look at a regular map, I can decide how to get there on my own. Since you mentioned it, I don't use a microwave, either.
MacMadame 81 Posted January 2, 2009 Internet maps are not going to make paper maps obsolete. They already have! Thomas Bros sales are in the toilet! Actually, the in-car GPS is making internet maps less useful, too. Which is why I picked "other". I only use MapQuest (hate Google Maps) when I'm trying to figure out how long it takes to get somewhere before I get in my car. Once in the car, it's Garmin Nuvi all the way! gone 4 ever 6 Posted January 4, 2009 I use map Quest, but always double check it with others. I have been lost several times from wrong directions from map quest. I used to be a delivery driver and am very map oriented. I hate being lost. I like paper maps also.
