Can I have an scramble egg

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm also 9 days post op. I'm currently on the puréed part of my diet (Days 8-14)

I had scrambled eggs this am. I just lightly puréed it in the Nutribullet. (Make sure they are soft, add cheese or a lil bit of milk)

I am 9 days post op and I want to try scramble eggs so bad. I am tired of liquids however I read about so many people eating eggs at this stage. Help

What were your doctor/nutritionist instructions? They should have given you a specific timeline as to when to start adding back in foods. Yes the all liquid phase sucks, but remember it is only temporary. Do not advance until you have spoke with your nutritionist.

I didn't have an egg until week 3. Those 2 weeks of all liquids were a challenge. I too thought I was going to go nuts! That first egg was the best thing I ever had.

I did. Not recommending it - just saying that I had eggs after about a week, I had no problems. Couldn't eat the whole egg but the 3 bites I took were darn good.

I didn't have eggs until two weeks out and I added milk to make them lighter. Make sure it's ok with your suregon and eat slow.

Follow your surgeon's plan. I was allowed scrambled eggs when I started pureed food....18 days postop.

I am on day six and bored with my choices. Am going to wait but an egg would be incredible.

I was on liquids for a total of 34 days. I came up with a couple dozen different Protein Shake flavors. In fact, at 15 months post I still have one every day. You can also add Protein Powder to broths and dilute/pureed/strained cream soups....chicken, beef, spinach, French onion, mushroom, potato leek, lobster bisque, butternut squash, Mexican tortilla, wonton, hot and sour, etc, etc. There's no need to get bored.

Thank you so much for that. What kind of Protein can I add to Soup and broths that won't change the taste?

Genepro! You can get it off Amazon

I used unjury unflavored. It worked best to pre mix it with a little bit of Water in my Blender Bottle and then add it to the heated broth or strained Soup. It does have a taste, but I found it to be mild and mostly covered up by the flavor of the soup. I still add it to pancake mix, hot Cereal and casseroles to add extra Protein.

After researching GENEPRO and the company that makes it, I do not feel comfortable with the product claims. There is NO scientific research backing the product, it is not approved by the FDA, I can't find an amino acid profile to know if it's a complete Protein, and the other products that company puts out are "male performance enhancers" and other quack "miracle" fad products. I feel better sticking with 100% whey protein which provides all essential amino acids and is the best and most readily absorbed form of protein (with the scientific evidence to back it up).

I use Isopure unflavored. Like @@Kindle I dissolve it in a little bit of Water before adding it in.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
