I drink Water with a tiny squeeze of mio. I drink 96 ounces of water every day. I found that having a routine of always having my tall 24 ounce cup next to me I can get 4 down. Also at least one Premier Protein chocolate every day lol.

Prior to surgery I loved plain Water. After surgery I haven't been able to tolerate plain water. I drink Propel water and the peach flavor is my favorite.

Plain Water. I may add a 3:1100% apple juice ratio, or a capful of Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar(good for digestion). My favorite thing is to suck an Altoid while drinking water. I'll also occasionally drink unsweetened hibiscus or peppermint herbal tea.

@glittereyes

Thanks for sharing about not being able to tolerate plain Water....I thought I was the only one...it's so weird not to be able to tolerate it...I can only eat lots of ice and drink sips of other stuff....

I hope I can get back to drinking plain Water some day...

I gave up soda 4 ½ years ago. Since then except for the occasional coffee or tea I pretty much only drink almond milk or Water so my body was already conditioned to drinking plain water. In the summer I sometimes put cucumber and mint in the infuser, but for the most part I'm a water gal. Other than the first week when I had to work to drink anything, I don't even think about it anymore. I just fill a bottle and always carry it around with me.

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
