I had the gastric sleeve done on 3-19-15 so far so good. Since having the surgery I've been having trouble with vomiting and nausea I actually just got out of the hospital yesterday because of it. Has anyone else experienced this? It just come randomly. I would love any advice or thoughts. Thank you so much!

Yes I had the sleeve Jan 21st an for the last two weeks I have been throwing up an always sick when I eat or drink Water. Usually they say you aren't following the diet exactly, or eating too fast or too much. We can't eat over what is called a serving size even if it says only 1/4 cup. That's what we eat. Nothing different than the diet they gave us. In my case I had extensive hernias surgery an went back in thru, an they said it would probably take another two months. Bummer. Good luck.

Yes it gets better but you will need to pick foods with high Protein an low fat an carbs, and yes there are some foodstuff body won't tolerate anymore.

Thank you for the advice! I've been defiantly getting high Protein recipes and getting some good ideas for low fat and carb good as well. Today was a better day I wasnt as sick but I am having trouble staying hydrated so I've been trying to push fluids (sipping) as much as I can

Water is a problem to me as well an i don't tolerate artificial sweeteners . An don't care for tea too much so don't have options.they say it gets better. I however am having problems getting enough Protein. Finding it's expensive for me.I didn't know it was going to be so expensive trying to find things to eat. Can't live on eggs ,cheese an Turkey Jerky sticks. Some pea Soup an once in awhile plain Hamburg, no bread. In at two months , had a bad hernia repair an just had it checked because I'm sick to stomach all the time an throwing up some. Have to sip water two sips at a time, not fast. Eat slow, sometimes for over 30 minutes. But only one serving of any thing at a sitting. Thats hard cause I want fruit an veggies an there is no protein in them so must get in 60 grams protein first. But it gets better.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
