jeannbe1 1 Posted March 27, 2015 Hi all, I was wondering is anyone else has experienced increasing pain instead of decreasing pain after the surgery. My pain has gotten worse on the left side and now it radiates to my back. The burning sharpness of it makes it almost impossible to get up without screaming. Is this normal? Okiebon 61 Posted March 27, 2015 No, that isn't normal. You need to call your surgeon.
Skinny Steps 25 Posted March 29, 2015 Jeannbe1 what did they say? I'm 4 days post op and today is worse. Mine doesn't radiate to my back but hurts like crazy when I stand up.
tereasa7 4 Posted March 30, 2015 I had pain on my left side too from the incision. I don't remember my back hurting though, but I did have a lot of trapped gas too and that was more painful than my incision.
jeannbe1 1 Posted March 30, 2015 Hi all, thanks for all the advice and responses. I have to go to the surgeon tomorrow to get a block- lido&marcaine . I figured out that the pain I have is nerve related (I am a critical care RN). I knew that having this kind of severe pain wasn't normal, I just couldn't differentiate the pain. Hopefully that works. They told me an internal suture was probably up against a nerve
