Yes. Contact your insurance company and ask them the requirements though. Any insurance requirements I have read say that if you have a BMI of 35 and under you must have atleast 2 comorbities. You can even google that information for your insurance company.

I would say pretty much what you've stated. " I have tried many weight loss programs and I always seem to gain the weight back...Do you think I would be a good candidate for the WLS/Sleeve?"

If you had my insurance you would qualify. They require 35 or higher BMI and then 2 health conformities.

I would look at all of your options before starting another weight loss prgram and dropping below the magical 35 BMI.

My BMI was 36 and I had one co-morbidity (diabetic). My insurance required only one. Check what Medicare requires.

For me it was the best decision I could have made. My diabetes is in remission and my goal is in sight. The way I eat is a life style that I can easily live with. No regrets.

Good luck with your research.

Yes I agree that you are a candidate but be sure and take the advice posted on this thread about doing your research. WLS works great and is certainly a method of at least partially winning the weight battle. But it's permanent, it's hard, and the ability to keep your weight down isn't the only concern. Never underestimate the mental and emotional changes associated with any kind of bariatric procedure. It's serious stuff. You can probably win in the weight dept. but you will also have to win the psychological battle. If you choose to have surgery that's great. Study up on the entire process and prepare yourself for ALL the changes you will be dealing with.

You can do it and you can win as long as you fully understand and go in with your eyes wide open.
