What are your favorite Quest Nutrition products?

Regarding the other Quest products, I would stay clear of them. Sounds like a bunch of crap full of carbs. I remember being warned about such food items in our nutrition classes. They are too similar to chips, Cookies and other "red flag" food items I have never been able to have in my house because I will eat them until they are gone. For me, it's just better not to have snack food like that around. It doesn't have a place in my new lifestyle. If I'm hungry I will eat a piece of beef jerkey or other high Protein snack which will actually fill me up. I would end up eating 8 bags of those quest chips in one sitting! 5 carbs doesn't seem bad, but 5 grams x 8 bags equals 40 grams of carbs!

Thanks for your opinion! I'm post surgery, can't have them until reg diet but I like to do my research beforehand. I totally understand your reasoning for not wanting them and I'm glad you are doing what's best for you. I think the chips are an awesome way to switch things up a bit and they can be an easy 21g of Protein at lunch for someone that struggles to hit numbers like me :)

The top sellers are Cookies and cream and the cookie dough.

I also like the lemon ones (sorry kathy!)

Agree the s'mores flavor is gross/too sweet. Also, gag on the cinnamon roll.

Where do you purchase the Quest bars? I have never heard of them. Thanks in advance.

GNC, Amazon, Quest website, lots of health food stores, many bariatric and body building websites, I even found them in the snack kiosks in several airports. 20g protein/under 200 calories. Some people claim they are too high in carbs but they obviously aren't reading the whole label.... 18g of the carbs are actually Fiber.< /p>

I am in Alabama @foreversleeved08.

they have a tool on their website to put in your zip code and it will populate the stores where their products are sold in your area, hope that helps! :)

How much Protein is in a Quest bar? I couldn't find it online. Thanks

from their website it looks like for a single bar is $2.39, I have to admit that when i saw them I didn't even pay attention to the price because i was so excited to find them at HEB lol

@@New Me 2015 Protein content varies by bar. I went to Amazon.com and searched for Quest bars. The product descriptions will tell you the Protein content of the different flavors. But it's around 20g of protein per bar.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
