Will This EVER Go My Way? Feeling Helpless

Recommended Posts

I am well on my way with the process of having WLS I've done everything needed and I'm now doing my three weight management that's all that's left. My husband and everyone is behind me 100% but my husband works out of state and we only see each other maybe once a month. I'm basically doing the single mom thing working full time and dealing with a child with a disability. I'm trying so hard to make the right choses and write down everything I eat (good or bad) and they have asked me to write how I feel at the when I ate whatever. Well I know that I'm a stress eater but now it's in my face on paper and I'm having a hard time stopping it before it like I'm not conscious of it until after I have done it! Does anyone have any advise to help me with this?

You are juggle a lot of responsibilities at once; that's prove how strong you are. Just remember you can only put one foot in front of the other. I pray you have family support, you will need it for sure after your surgery. Know at the end of the day, its all for you to be healthier for you, your husband and kid. Hang in there,

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
