That is so funny I called this my baby for the longest time. It took six years to get it with insurance paying. I always felt like I had a miscarriage everytime they denied me payment. Then I got my baby on Oct. 23 2006--YEAH!!! It just helped show me that I am a fighter! But close to 60lb weight loss I will love this baby forever!

I have had my band for 5 weeks now and I have lost 22.6 pounds. My life has so changed since the band, so I would say yes, I would absolutely without a doubt do it again.

I would totally be banded again in a heart beat. The only thing I wish was different was my doctor's fills. He is super conservative and it took me like 5 or 6 fills to finally feel restriction,

That is a good question. I would say 90% of the time yes. But sometimes I just would like to take a bite of meat and not suffer. I would love to eat a hamburger with the bun or just some steak. I would love to go out to eat and eat more then 3 bites of food in 1/2 hr. :)

But then I think of having to give myself insulin or being able to bend over without feeling like I am going to pass out and I say "Hell Ya I would do it again tomorrow".:clap2:

Not just yes, but HELL YES! And I am only three weeks out...I have hit a mark on the scales that I have not seen for 12 years. This means EVERYTHING to me. I think I am doing GREAT. Haven't even had my first fill yet (!!!!!), but I'm able to stick to my soft foods easily. Also having no problem not drinking with food....after the first 5 minutes it is NO BIGGIE. When I DO overeat, I make sure and overeat something like steamed broccoli with homemade dill sauce....stuff like that that doesn't add calories but will fill me up just to appease the BEAST. I just wish I had had this option available to me 20 years ago..... I think my biggest initial problem was Portion Control, as opposed to sweets, starches, pastas, fast foods....and this tool has been a Godsend.

No, I would not do this again :) While it works, and I'm not denying that, I hate puking all the time. I mean, all the time. I chew 30-40 times before swallowing, I don't dring with meals, I have yet to eat a cup of food at any one time. I vomit all the time.

If I could do this over again, I would not.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
