I'm fascinated by all of our different processes after surgery -- some have Clear liquids for 2 weeks, others 2 days. Just a comment, no issues with it and not judging whether one is right or wrong -- just interesting to me!!

What type of nutrition plan do you have? Are you still on a clear liquid diet?

I had to finish the clear liquid diet before I left the hospital, but now I am going through the liquid part of the stage, I can drink broth, and 100% juices with half of Water. And I take the bus and Calcium and multi Vitamin. How about you?

I'm only 6 days in and I start Purée Diet in 2 days! (Sat) can't wait! I've had no complications and I'm getting all my liquids.

Keep doing a great job. I have to put it all in God's hands. But I am glad to meet people like you and the other ones on this app. God bless you and keep doing a great job.

I know the feeling. It was so freaking hard. I was so tired of Clear Liquids and the sugar substitute. I wasa getting this gross foamy sweet crap in my throat all the time. I got to a point I didnt want anything anymore. I was upset and angry about not being able to get full. This was just my experiance. I am sure it is different for many others but now being over 2 weeks out i am finally feeling better. I feel your pain and soon it will be over with. i promise. Just follow the program and focus on hydration.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
