mimibandtosleeve 1 Posted March 25, 2015 Any band to sleeve revisions? Was it all in one surgery? Did you have to wait between surgeries? What are your stats? Are you a slow loser?
gresau1 10 Posted March 25, 2015 I am a band to sleever. I was banded in 2007. I am one week post op. They removed the band and sleeved me in one surgery. It took about 2 hours. I would also consider myself a slow loser. I need to lose about 100 lbs.
LuvShihTzus 2 Posted March 27, 2015 I received my Lapband in 2007 and went from 305 to 185 until last summer. I had many problems with reflux and had a revision surgery. Unfortunately, I had gained back 15ish pounds before surgery. I have now gained a total of 35, back at 220 and depressed beyond measure. Since my surgery, my mom passed away and I it has been extremely hard to adjust. My sister and I had been her caregivers for the 8 years since her stroke. Our lives revolved around her care and now she's gone. I can't seem to get back on track. I also can't see myself going into the doctor one more time as a weight loss failure, after a lifetime of doing so. I am 54 and I think that even makes it harder. I haven't given up, but I am definitely in a funk I need to fight my way out.
