Riz2006 242 Posted March 24, 2015 (edited) I know every program is different so this is just out of curiosity.... I have 4 stages - 1. Clear liquid - days 1-2 2. Full liquid - (shakes, yogurt, cream Soups, applesauce, pudding, jello) - days 2-14 3. Purée/soft foods (egg salad, chicken salad, cottage cheese, turkey deli meet, mashed banana, etc -just a few items on my list from NUT) - days 14-60 4. Normal" foods/Maintenance diet - Day 60+ Anyone else have the purée and soft stage together? How many stages do you have? Tauruslady5 154 Posted March 24, 2015 Hellooooo I was the same as your schedule. Worked out great. When I was finally able to eat, I was only allowed to eat 2 teaspoons every 2 hours. To this date, I have continued this way of eating. Still works great. I just had my labs done so I know i am eating enough Protein. I do not, however, drink Protein shakes because they did not settle well in my tummy. Puree/Soft foods were the same. At this time I was eating refried Beans w/shredded cheese because it was soft. Have a fun journey.
Elode 8,093 Posted March 24, 2015 Same as yours only I didn't have to wait 60 days I could do regular after the purée/mushy stage as tolerated.

Riz2006 242 Posted March 24, 2015 I can't wait for some refried bean! Yum! Also I'm not a fish eater (can't stand it) but that is allowed on my soft/purée stage so I'm thinking of trying it again-maybe I will like it now. Problem is I have zero clue where to buy, what to buy, how to cook it! Off to google some ideas!

jhowell 11 Posted March 24, 2015 I was similar. Nothing to eat or drink after surgery. The following day in the hospital I was allowed tea, vegetable broth and apple juice. Weeks 1-4 full liquids (Protein drinks, pudding, apple sauce...etc) Weeks 5-6 cheese, cottage cheese, eggs Weeks 7 I can start adding vegetables and soft meats like chicken, turkey or seafood.
