Hi all - my NUT just raised me to 700 calories a day because she thinks my body may be in starvation mode. I am approximate 7 weeks out. Any thoughts on that? I had good weight loss the first month and it has slowed to a crawl. Getting approx 40oz or more of Fluid a day, meeting Protein goals, but struggling on losing.

Thanks!

Other people's definition of "crawl" seems to differ greatly from mine, so it's hard to say what your current rate of loss is, but 700 calories at 7 weeks out doesn't sound unreasonable. I was supposed to try to get 800 as soon as possible (though obviously didn't get there in the early food stages) and now I am aiming for just over 1000 a day.

Hi.

I am 4 months out and have just started to intake about 800 calories a day. My dietician has recommended a 1200 calorie a day limit, but I have not even reached that. She is not concerned, but everyone is different.

I got on the scale again today and now am 229. I am so excited, I loose about 1-2 pounds a week which is slow but successful. My doctor and dietician think I am doing great. Whereas my friends who have had this done think I should be drinking more calories to make up for what I am not getting by food. What the do not understand is I cannot put anymore food or liquid in my stomach. I go until my body says STOP.

Do not feel rushed if you are not getting in what your nutritionist wants, it is your body, just remember to eat and drink responsibliy and stay hydrated.
