Goatfarmer 29 Posted March 24, 2015 I am almost a month out and have lost 25 pounds. Have had a lot of nausea and hard to get fluids and Protein in. Just taking it one day at a time and grateful to be able to have this life saving surgery.
Blue Sky 89 Posted March 24, 2015 Surgery 2/9. Lost about 15 before surgery, around 13 after that. Hit a 3 week stall where I think I gained 5 pounds! Lost the 5 pounds over the past 2 weeks so I'm back at 13 after surgery. Crazy. I take solace in that I have gone down several sizes from a size 22 to an 18 and people are noticing! sallyomalley67 77 Posted March 24, 2015 I had surgery on 2/27/15. SW 338. DOS 308. CW 298. Stalled on week 3 for about 10 days. Ate anbout 800 calorie day and my scale finally dropped. I am going to do the 1 time a week weigh in. Otherwise I will be bonkers. Lol

slimfast13 2 Posted March 24, 2015 Thank you everyone!...makes me feel better that i'm not alone with the stall. Some of you said you are eating 800 calories...I was told by my nutritionist today that I am not eating ENOUGH:+( She wants me to eat 600-800 calories per day. I can hardly get up to 500 calories a day. She said that would probably get me out of the stall, and exercise of course. What foods should I be eating to UP my calories to reach 600+? By the time I get in my 2 Premier Protein shakes 30g, my three 1/2 cup meals three times a day, and sipping Water, etc. throughout the day, i'm STUFFED, lol! Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated. TIA!
Jendroppinglbs 24 Posted March 25, 2015 Sleeved on 2/27/15 highest weight was 319 had to do a 6 month weight lost program for my insurance company day of surgery weight was 267 now at 248. So I am super happy with having it done. Recovery was super fast and real not in too much pain quit the pain meds 2 days post op. On the pureed phase of food that has been quite interesting but so far I have been able to keep everything down. I drink at least 1 shake a day to get a good dose of Protein in and starting walking on my treadmill again. Glad to read that everyone else is doing good too. Totally looking forward to buying new clothes when I drop a few more sizes
laurenella82 625 Posted March 25, 2015 DOS 2/10. HW 298; SW 289; CW 257. I was down to 253 but, according to my surgeon, I wasn't getting enough calories. So now I'm forcing myself to get in 1000 cals a day but it's hard and I end up eating things I shouldn't just to get there. I think I'm going to focus less on getting there an more on better food choices. I did start working out yesterday. I plan to do every other day until I get the stamina for every day. YetNotI 0 Posted March 25, 2015 (edited) One year ago I weighed 376 lbs. Sleeved on 2/16/15. SW: 357. DOS: 327. CW: 301. Only lost 14 lbs in four weeks! Was really hoping to lose 16 in that four week stretch so I'm feeling a little bummed about that! Having trouble keeping anything down. Everything comes back up with a lot of foam! Plan to force more liquids down since the foam could be a sign of dehydration! Getting sleeved was the best choice I've ever made! Hallelujah! mrsmith901 18 Posted March 25, 2015 Sleeved 2/24. HW: 301 SW: 277 CW: 257. 20lbs in one month isn't so bad. I stalled at week 3 for a week and a half. I am working out 5-6x a week for 60-90 minutes and eating around 500-600 calories a day. I average 60g of Protein a day. I need to work on getting my fluids in though! sallyomalley67 77 Posted March 26, 2015 Wow. I just walked 2.6 miles of hilly neighborhood. Up til now I've only done the somewhat flatter area nearby with lower hills. Woo hooo! Losing this weight is definitely going to make that trek easier as I keep going. I have a goal to make it to Disney in July and be able to walk the park aaaand ride a ride. Tall order. But I can DO IT! I will make a smaller goal of going to Six Flags and walking the park (I have a seasons pass) lol YAHOOOOO
LSF 264 Posted March 26, 2015 My body is breaking down on me ????. I have had a lot of heel pain before the surgery so I haven't been able to walk for exercise which I LOVE to do. Finally got X-rays, I have a bone spur and the podiatrist can't see me until 4/23. I've been using the Cybex arc trainer at the gym since it doesn't aggravate my foot but my shoulder went out on my 2 days ago while I was chopping at ice outside. So aggravating!! But with the sleeve I feel great!!
Bruce Peter 39 Posted March 26, 2015 (edited) Seems everyone is doing great! I agree about being cold. It bothers me more than ever before. Surgery 2/25 SW257,DOS 242, CW 222. I'm eating about ~1200 calories a day. Protein is in the 75 gram range, with very little carbs. Can't tolerate much food at any one time, so I eat 5-6 times a day. How are you getting 75 grams of Protein in one day? What kinds of foods are you eating? I get between 35 and 40 and would really like to get closer to 70.
