mechele8 63 Posted March 24, 2015 @@MoJo119 I'm having mine at Piedmont and Dr. McGill is doing mine as well. What time? I'm at 8am but I have to be there at 6 am. We definitely need to stay in touch!
MoJo119 12 Posted March 24, 2015 @@mechele8 I have to be there at 10:30am, surgery at 12:30pm. Sounds like you may be his first patient of the day. He told me he had surgery all day today and tomorrow. Are you nervous? How did your pre-op go? I'm feeling tired, hungry and weak. I'm working today, but I wish I would have taken the day off. Are you packed? What did you pack?
HedwigPotter 8 Posted March 24, 2015 I don't have a date yet, but I'm with Dr. Hart and I'm in Sugar Hill/Suwanee area. I'll be at Emory at Johns Creek as well. Good luck everyone!
mechele8 63 Posted March 24, 2015 @@MoJo119 I am feeling extremely tired and wishing that I took the day off as well. It's hard to concentrate. I have not packed but I have an idea on what I want to take with me. I am hoping to be the first one so I can get to recovery and my room. I am extremely nervous and anxious at the same time. I certainly hope we can stay in touch while at the hospital. I will be using my cell phone there and I'm not sure if I can get the alerts like I do with the computer. I plan to take toiletries, a pair of slippers, a robe, and shorts.
MoJo119 12 Posted March 25, 2015 @ I have friend who had a gastric bypass with Dr. Hart a few years ago. I heard he was a good surgeon. Johns Creek is way too far for me to travel, especially if there are complications. Good luck to you!
MoJo119 12 Posted March 25, 2015 @@mechele8 yes, we can stay in touch while there. I will have my iPad so I will check in once I'm feeling good. I just packed and I am taking about the same as you. My mom is going to stay with me in the hospital. I can't talk her out of it...she is such a worry wart....so I think her staying is more for her than me...lol Anyway, I'll talk to you later. Best wishes with everything, I'll say a prayer for you. Mo
HedwigPotter 8 Posted March 26, 2015 @@MoJo119I'm extremely lucky because Dr. Hart is less than a mile from my work. I've only heard great things about him and I was impressed when I met him. He reviewed my file before even walking into the room. He knew I had asthma, PCOS, and a steroid hypersensitivity without even looking at my chart. I was shocked. I think I'm in good hands and it's always nice to have confidence in your surgeon before undergoing major surgery!
