Finally home!

Had my surgery March 18th! Everything went smooth, I met all my goals in the hospital, no major pain just discomfort..I should have known it was too good to be true....the nurses had me off everything and ready for discharge at 7:15 yesterday morning since I was doing so great (even had my bowel movement already) We were all packed, dressed and ready to go and then just sat and waited...and waited! The surgeon booked 6 surgeries yesterday and was running late so went straight to the Operating room and didn't release us two patients waiting to go home until almost 5 pm! Very frustrating but I am home now! Figured out I have to sleep on my back not my sides like usual

I still have some fluids in me (still swollen) but I am down 15 lbs. from the day I started the liver shrink diet until now!!!

I am going to stick with the official weigh/take measurements every Sat morning but I am sure I will cheat and weigh myself more during the week especially this week with the fluids all coming off!

Good luck on your recovery. Keep with the program. I took me 6 months to reach my happy state.

That is great...all except the long wait to be discharged...lol!
