This is my eighth day post surgery and I've lost 13 pounds. I seem to be up every three maybe four hours and I'm totally wiped out again and ready to lay down. Is this normal, and if so how long does this last? I go back to work in another week, concerned I'm going to be exhausted, Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.

I'm 18. Days out and I still have those days. I have problems with running to the bathroom after every meal. I'm still having problems even wanting to eat. Trying to get my Water in. I always want to sleep.

It's takes like six weeks for the anesthesia to completely get out of your system.

Your body is going thru some major changes inside. It's trying to figure out what happened, trying to heal itself and it's not getting the rest it's used to. I was off for a total of 2 full weeks and did the 3rd week with 1/2 days. It's not easy, try to go easy on yourself.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
