Calli 20 Posted March 20, 2015 I have moved in the last four years and the only local physician in-network has stopped placing Lap Band... She actually talks negatively about it. Needless to say, I didn't go back. It has been three years since my last follow up and I am failing. I have never lost more than 15 pounds with the band, but it did not come back. My last visit I had a stretched esophagus so they took the Fluid out of the band to heal the esophagus. I want to see a new physician and I am looking for someone close with a good reputation in the Hershey/Harrisburg area (17033). I would like to get back on track and If that isn't possible I am willing to consider other options. I am also currently having some heartburn after having the Flu and Bronchitis and fear something might have happened with all the coughing. Any guidance you can provide would be appreciated. Jkgbander 9 Posted March 20, 2015 Hi Calli, I just read your concern about your band and I wanted to tell you about my experience. I was banded on 5/30/13. Lost 60 pounds and have been happy, but during my first week my band was so tight they had to remove 3-1/2 cc out of me so I only have 1/2 cc left in band. I've done well my reflux is gone and I've kept my weight off except during this holiday time Xmas and Thanksgiving I gained back on 12 pounds. I was like oh no I've got to get this off because I didn't want it going back up. In Oct. 2014 I came down with pneumonia/bronchitis and a horrible cough that lasted 4 months, actually I felt like I was going to cough up a lung and was so afraid with my band but all is in tack. What I want you to know I lost 13 pounds from Jan. 2 - Feb. 17.. Then just this week I got on my scales and have lost another 4 so that's 16 pounds since Jan. 2. I saw a friend post on FB about these all natural plant based supplements called Plexus and a Pink drink called SLIM, so I ordered it from her, I had such good luck I also am now a Silver Ambassador with this great company and want to share this to all WLS patients that this is a great tool to use along with the band or by itself band or no band, WLS no WLS! My FB page is Jan Garner in Aubrey, TX, if you want to go to my page and look around or friend me you can see for yourself and all the testimonials. Good luck with your healthy journey and if I can be part of it here is my webpage too: jangarner.myplexusproducts.com go look around and tell me what you think.
