I've been taking it very easy. I'm on Purées. For the most part I stick to cottage cheese because of the convenience & my sleeve loves it. I put all my food in small Dixie cups so not to overdo it. Last night I made lasagna for my family and Eggface's ricotta bake for me..and forgot the Ricotta in mine! (Serious). I was eating it and I kept thinking it was very quiche-like and solid (from the egg) but that a lot of my friends had said they ate this throughout pureed? ?. I chewed a million times but it was so good. I got about a Tsp down and a wave of severe nausea came over me. Panting like a dog, dizziness, ears ringing, I didn't know if I was gonna die or puke or pass out then about 5 minutes later it quit. Still nauseous and cramping badly all night long. Do you think this is typical dumping? Has any sleevers done this from the wrong food and did it damage anything?

It could have been the eggs. I haven't been able to tolerate eggs since my sleeve. I used to love them. Have tried several times since surgery and get sick every time. I'm 8 months out now and still can't do eggs.

I tried the ricotta bake (with ricotta) the second day of my pureed stage. I had terrible "foaming" and was so uncomfortable- it lasted hours. I have never tried it again. For the record I hated the pureed stage, something about the textures, and was supposed to be on it for three weeks. I ended up doing the full liquid stage a little longer with a few additions. So glad that stage is over!

Could be but you didn't actually dump it, did you? The cramping part is miserable. Probably a little too rich too early. Happened to me early on more than it does now at 1.5 yrs out, but if I overdo it on something too rich or particularly on sugar I'm in for several hours of pain in the bathroom. One frosted sugar cookie is okay but several over the course of the day oh SO not worth it! You will probably get much more tolerant as time passes and you heal. I look at the sugar sensitivity as a gift now and a strong deterrent not to binge. It's all good as long as I keep it in moderation.

Mine was tuna Fish. I was at work, I tried only a teaspoon and within minutes I was nauseated, very cold, and ended up going home because I got so sick.

I have not tried Tuna Fish since.....too afraid ...I had my surgery on 11/21/14....

Thankyou for your replies. No I never actually dumped it. I wanted to..just to get some relief but it just passed. I was left with cramping and I felt like I do after a stomach virus. I know I won't be eating that for the rest of my life. I'm going to stick to my cottage cheese and wait on these new recipes. I never want to feel that again. Not to mention I made it to my neighbors house with my 3 year old while panting like a gorilla because I thought I was going to pass out home alone. Embarrassing to say the least.

I tried scrambled eggs and that did not sit well at all. I had cramping but not nausea. Once I was cleansed it was fine. I am trying to only add new foods when I am at home.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
