band-4-life 2 Posted March 19, 2015 Give it time you have to let your body catch up. Are you walking and eating right. All you weight is no going to drop off over night
alwaysvegas 702 Posted March 19, 2015 Check out the topic I started with a graph I made of one year of weight loss. You will see that stalls are very common. There can be other reasons for long-term stalls (1+ months), but if you are following your surgeon/nutritionist's prescribed nutrition/exercise plan, then you weight loss should resume within a few weeks after the stall has started. http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/335141-one-year-of-weight-loss-graphed/
Rogofulm 2,440 Posted March 19, 2015 Congratulations! You have reached The Dreaded Week-3 Stall. It's perfectly normal, and just about all of us have suffered through it. You're not crazy, and your doctor didn't screw up. In fact, you might not lose any weight for two weeks or even longer. But don't worry – after that, the pounds will start falling off if you stick to your program. And, the inches will continue to come off even while the scale isn't budging. Here's a good article that explains why it happens and why we all have to go through it. Hang in there. Pretty soon it'll be in the rear-view mirror and you'll be dropping weight again! (Apologies to BP regulars who have seen this repeatedly, but it's a big deal to those who are going through it!)
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted March 19, 2015 @@Rogofulm Thank you for being the one man "dreaded 3 week stall" campaign! It's awesome Only thing to add is that once you are maintaining your new trim figure, you won't even remember stalls etc... take the long view and this stuff just doesn't matter!
