cadegirl 20 Posted March 19, 2015 I have an appointment with my surgeon tomorrow to sign consent forms. ....what usually happen at this appointment? Will I get my surgery date?
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted March 19, 2015 Depends on the type of consent. Is this consent to submit to insurance or consent for surgery? I never had an appointment solely to sign consent forms. I signed for them to submit to insurance during my initial appointment and I signed my surgery consent forms during my pre-admission testing. I also had my pre-admission testing scheduled for the same day as my final nutrition class. They always tried to piggyback appointments so that I could get as much done at one time as possible. cadegirl 20 Posted March 19, 2015 My insurance company already gave approval for me to have the surgery.. then I recieved a call with an appointment to meet the surgeon, sign consent forms, and pay my Co pay for the surgery. blessedx2 This is consent for surgery. blessedx2
samuelsmom 670 Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) My consent was done at the same time as my pre-op physical which was 5 days before surgery. Usually consents are done pretty close to the actual date. My surgeon went over my whole pre-op program and discussed all the risks and benefits of surgery and answered any questions I had. It was very informative though freaked me out a little bit as it all became very real! Keep us posted! Edited March 19, 2015 by samuelsmom
