I am 1 week out also! So far I've lost 14 lbs. I have been able to get 60 grams of Protein in the last couple of days (unfortunately, my goal is 77-96 grams...so I'm still not at my goal).

I have a lot of tummy rumbling, my sleeve is very noisy. I have times where I feel hungry also, but I've seen on this board that many times than can be stomach acid and not true hungry. So I'm trying to just focus on drinking as much as I can and it seems to help. When I really feel hungry then I have applesauce, broth, Jello, or yogurt, those are all on my plan for now. I don't get to soft foods until 22 days post-op.

My surgery was April 13. Am on my first day of soft food after 11 days of puréed food. Everything has worked smoothly. First follow up with my surgeon on the 6th of May. Walking 2 miles a day.

I was sleeved on the 21st and am not allowed Protein yet, Clear Liquids for the 1st week following surgery. I have my 1 week follow up tomorrow and hopefully will be allowed to add protein and be on full liquids.

So not actual powder, all pre made shakes?

Yes, all premade. It seemed like Premier Protein had excellent reviews and most people really like it, so I gave it a try and liked it and stuck with it. I added in the Isopure for variety (it tastes more like unsweetened kool aid). I have ordered a sample of Unjury unflavored and I'm waiting on it to arrive. I hope that I like it so that I can add it to applesauce.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
