I ordered mine from 24 hour fitness, its supposed to be here Thursday, I can't wait!! Will it make it through a metal detector? I have to go through one to come into work. Does it hurt it to get xrayed?

I wore mine through airport security so I think that's same as metal detector/xray??

I travel almost every week for work and so I'm going through airport security constantly. I am always wearing my BB and have never had a problem with it in security.

how long did it take for them to call to set up a coaching? Is the calorie deficit what's really important everyday? for instance, i'm supposed to burn 3300 calories, take in 1400, which gives me a deficit of 1900. a few days this week i went over in calorie intake but because i burned more my deficit has been over 1900. is this ok?

Can I ask what everyone has set for calories burned each day and how many steps? I am just curious as to what others have set for daily goals.

for the last 2 months I have been at a 1700-2000 calorie deficit, I eat about 1000-1200 calories burn 2900-3200 a day if I eat more calories I workout longer to make up the extra calories. I usually have 12000-14000 steps, but your calorie deficit is so important 3500 cal =1lbs so when I maintain 2000 cal. def. I lose 4lbs that week but this is becoming so hard for me:mad: so I am going to drop it to 1500-1700 a day.

I keep a calorie deficit of 1000 calories a day for 2 lb a week loss. I just started really starting to up my exercise, I am eating about 1200 calories a day, on a slow/bad day I burn 2500 calories, good day over 3000. Sometimes I slip up and eat too many calories and find myself going out at 1100 PM to walk away some of the evil calories.

Have I said today that I love my bugg?

Is it really that accurate? If you have the deficit can you be certain your scales will drop? I love the idea of this, and am working on convincing my dh that it is a worthwhile purchase. He is a little sceptikal that it really works. Help me know what to say to him. He also would rather me just buy one on ebay if i do get one. He said that if I have the instruction book I won't need a coach. He is really very supportive of my weight loss efforts, but we just bought a treadmill and I am a sahm, so we have to really be careful on one income, 5 kids, and the rising price of gas and groceries. However, if I can truely show him the benefit he will make a way.

I have totally been able to accurately lose weight with it. I really don't have any restriction yet, so I am doing my weight loss with the Bugg and it works!

The instruction manual won't tell you anything about using the online program, that is what the Coaching Session is for. However, if you know someone who has one, they could walk you though all of it. It isn't difficult, especially if you are computer literate. You may be able to find a new, unopened Bugg on ebay too. I found mine on Craigslist. It wasn't opened, so I got the training and everything included Bugg and Display, 2 Coaching Sessions and 3 Month Subscription for $240.00. You just have to keep looking & if you see a good deal, jump on it!

I think the Body Bugg is the BEST investment I have made. I love it!

If you have the digital display, I guess you could keep track of the calories you burned each day, but you wouldn't have the cool program to input what you eat and show you the differences.

I am definitely going to continue my subscription - just because I need the extra push of seeing what I am doing and my deficit.

99 dollars a year or you can pay month by month, but it is more expensive that way.

Well, today is 1 week since I've had my bugg. The verdict is.....I lost 8 pounds!!! I tried very hard to keep my numbers where they were supposed to be for calorie intake. I really made sure my deficit was at or above the 1900 goal. I LOVE THIS BUGG!!!. I've been banded for 5 weeks and I'm down 23lbs!!! I'm glad I got this early in the game.

Renewed, I bought mine on 24 hour fitness and got the 3 month and coaching for $224.

Saw my PCP & officially started my 6 month supervised diet 07/26/24. She just told me to eat less carbs & sugar, use the air fryer and not fry my foods in grease, and to try to walk 30 minutes 3 days a week & if I can't do that (and I cannot), to walk 10 minutes daily. Told me to walk fast enough that my heart rate is raised.  She didn't give me a number as far as calories though. A year or so ago I was doing low carb/sugar free and keeping my calories at 1800 or below. She said I should up my cals to 2000 at that time, so that's what I'm shooting for now.
Hubby walked with me today. He's in pretty bad shape so I was surprised he wanted to. We walked down the gravel road at a pretty good pace (for us LOL). 10 minutes walking and my heart rate was 115bps according to my Fitbit and 125bps according to his pulsometer. Either way, it was elevated and I was breathing hard. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a start. We'll do it again tomorrow. 😁
I should be hearing from the surgeon soon. She said if I didn't, to call him next week. Since I HAVE to do the 6 month diet & that's going to put me into January by the time it's done, I'm hoping the surgeon will let me do all my testing in January. I don't want to do it all now and have my deductible get met, only to have to pay the deductible again in January or February for my surgery. Praying that things go the way I hope. 🙏
