Bodybugg users report here!

Recommended Posts

The bodybugg is meant to be worn on the right arm. There are sensors on the bodybugg that detect body temp and air temp and if you have it on the left arm, those sensors will be backwards. Now if you turn it upside down on the left arm the sensors will be correct BUT the bodybugg knows what plane you are on. It knows if you are sitting, standing, laying down or even lean forward like riding a bike but with it on upside down this will all be wrong PLUS the bodybugg will think you are walking on your hands all day long which can result in skewed numbers.

To help with irritation, take it off while you are sleeping. You do not need to wear it 24/7 plus you need to give your arm a break. If you have never worn it to sleep then you need to wear it for 48 hours then thats it.

Let me know if you have further question. You can email me at Tproos@apexfitness.com. I don't come in here very often because this is your space and I you can say whatever your heart desires!!

I LOVE MY NEW BODYBUGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the best money spent ever. today is my second day with it. Yesterday I took 18,000 steps and burnt over 3500 cals. I had a cal deficit of 2300 cals. This info is priceless. it is so motivating.

How much does the web subscription cost? I saw 99 bucks a year on one of the pages, is that it? I know I get a 3 month free ride with the purchase from 24 hour fitness, I'm just wondering how much the web support is.

Ok, the bodybugg website is down, so since I'm supposed to wear it for 48 hours, what should I do about inputting information?

I am VERY interested in getting a bodybugg. Just have a few questions.....

1. Where is the best (cheapest but good qualtiy) place to get one?

2. How important is the digital wristband??

3. Do you have to purchase the subscription to use the bodybugg, or is it just extra support?

4. Is there a lot of daily information to input?

Thank you sooooo much. I hope to be a bodybugger real soon.

Amy

I personally like the wristband. I carry it with me, especially at the gym. I do not leave the gym until it says I have burned at least 750 calories during a workout. This just helps me surpass my cal burn every day. I also like it because I can glance at it and think...wow...I need to move! I need to walk the dog or clean the glass doors, or do SOMETHING to get a burn going! So, I love it for that. I wear mine 24/7. You don't have to, but why not? That's why I got it! I have had people ask what it is and I just tell them...like you see on Biggest Loser. Most people are SO interested and want one!!! I think the best deal is on 24 Hour Fitness. I don't think buying a used on on ebay is a good deal because you DO want the online subscription. You get it 3 mos with a purchase and get 2 coaching sessions, which I found helpful. At the end of 3 mos I renewed my online subscription. It lets you set your goals, log your food, etc.,and so it's more than support. It actually allows you to USE the Bugg in the ways that DO help you lose. You will LOVE your bugg!!! I'm SO glad I got mine. It really got me losing again!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
