B - that was very cool. Thanks for sharing.

My favorite line was "It's nice to get credit just for existing."

Please Help!

I just starting using the Body Bug and I love it!!!

The part that I am not in love with is logging calories consumed.

Is there a way to log estimates of calories or do you have to log all the food with it. I am finding this time consuming and confusing.:phanvan

Please share your way of logging calories...

Thanks much!!!

Putting in the calories really shouldn't be more than a few minutes.

It might be a little more cumbersome at first but it does get easier with time.

I was using fitday.com and had a bit of learning curve with that program. I find BB's to be about equal.

hi,

there are different opinions on this topic. i tend to think i'd rather burn 400 cals an hour while staying mostly in the cardio zone versus 220 cals an hour in the fat burning zone ... **shrug**

http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f81/debunking-fat-burn-vs-cardio-heart-rate-myth-41136/

Yeah, I do agree with you, but I find that when I am at 15% incline, busting my butt trying to keep up, I am burning at 9.6 c/m. When I bring it back down to 8%, I am burning 7.8 c/m. So now, I tend to stay at 8% incline so I am not dead tired when I finish. :faint:

I got the little wrist display thingie yesterday. I LOVE it. Took it on my walk today and obsessively watched it. Then when I went to Walmart it beeped at me and said I had a msg! - I'd already done my targeted 10,000 steps for the day - and it was only 4pm!!

I heart new toys.

Strangest thing just happened I went to 24hourfitness.com and put the bodybugg in my cart and when I tried to checkout it gave me a $20 off promo. So, I took it one step further populated the coupon promo code and I got $50 off. The site said the promo expired, but yet it still gave me the discount. Final price of Bodybugg = $299 - Also, the watch has a $30 discount on it right now. Totalling $69.95 for the watch

what code?????

I believe the code is BLC24.

I tried it -- buying the Body Bugg and Wrist display - gave me total $80 off but nothing for the code - so maybe I have the wrong code listed above.

$349 - $30 (on sale) + $99.95 - $30 (on sale) then $20 off for spending more than $100 on line (expires 11/12)

TOTAL $368.95 for both BodyBugg ($319) and Display ($69.95) less $20

You can definitely get the body bugg for $299 right now if you use the code blc24. It just took $50 off the order even though it said the promo code expired. I'm hoping it gets back down to $196....

:whoo:

I am hoping for the $196 also!

You are right you can get for $299 -- you don't even need to enter the coupon.

They have a special if you spend over $100 they give $20 off and the have the bugg currently $30 off.

Sorry if my previous post was confusing.

:P Good night :P

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
