I have had the bodybugg for 1 week and lost 6lbs since I started using it. I think seeing the results on the screen has really helped me, plus being held accountable for all food logging makes me think twice about eating something! I have a heart rate monitor I have used for a year and I loved it. This gadget takes it a step about...I love this thing!!

Would you believe that according to the UPS tracking system my Bugg left the wearhouse for delivery at 0553 this morning and here it is now nearly TWELVE hours later and NO SIGN OF IT!

My roommate left the house for work at 9am, so its possible that he (the UPS man) came by when no one was here... but he usually leaves me a note on my door saying when he'll be by again!!! Wahhhh!!! I want my Bugg!!!

I bought the wrist band, but not sure if I like it. The numbers are hard to read for us old folks. Will have to mess with it a little more.

The wrist band is like a little watch that lets you check and see at any point in the day how many calories you've burned. It does not actually monitor like the body bugg, on;y displays info.

I have the display watch. I don't even use it. I can see how it would be helpful, but not for me, yet.

congratulations on your bugg Suzzzie. You will fall more in love that you will have separation anxiety if you forget to wear it ;)

Hey! Do ya'll wanna get rid of your display watch thingy-ma-bobs? Will they work with a different Bugg, or are they matched specifically to yours? Hmm... I'd love to have one while I'm at work (cause I take the 8 flights of stairs at least once a day) and while I'm at the gym. Feel free to send me a PM if you're willing to part with your doo-hickey.

I've been wearing my bugg for 24 hours now - only took it off to shower this morning. I love it - but MAN is my big ole fat arm kinda sore! Lol.

And I was reading the BB threads on the APEX website and some people there said that they have permanent dents in their arms from the Bugg!! Yikes!! I think I will alternate arms daily! YOu are supposed to wear it only on your right arm, but CAN wear it on your left arm, as long as it is upside down - something about the way the sensors are placed.

I received my bodybugg last week and the wrist-display is on back order. I think it would be worth the wait though.

I am loving my bodybugg...I didn't know there was an up and down to it..I just throw it on either way and it works fine. I went ahead with my free 45 minute phone session and just didn't mention lapband. The woman was wonderful and basically walked me all over the website and showed me all kinds of tools I can use to see how I am doing and change up things if I need to.....

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
