I'm in the beginning I'll be 8wks Friday. I breastfeed my first baby but that was 8 1/2 yrs ago. You do need to drink plenty of Water and eat healthy but I didn't have to eat much. You can also buy over the counter meds or your Dr can give you a prescription for something to help with your milk supply. It will help you shed the pounds much faster which is awesome ! I only did it 5 months last time but I plan to go for the long haul this time ! The first week is always rough but once you and baby adjust its the best thing ever. No making bottles in the middle of the night. Not to mention the bonding experience is just amazing. As for the skin issue, I hate it...mine has not snapped back like I hoped it would...once I have the baby and loses the remainder of the weight I'm prob gonna need some plastic surgery. Wishful thinking because I prob will not be able to afford it lol. My poor boobs have been deflated but I must admit being pregnant is looking good on them lol Today has been a hungry day and I hate those but thankful for my band because it gives me the restraint I need because I can be hard headed :)

Today has been a rough day for me. I had mexican and it didn't go down like it should have. I was only able to eat that today because of basically being stuck :-( I get so scaree of that sometimes. I think I'm just going to start doing Protein Shakes during the day to help make sure I get what I need. Its very frustrating when you can't eat and you feel you need to

Well that sounded like I'm only going to drink Protein during the day....what I meamt was I was going to add that in during the day plus my food to make sure I'm getting protein and calories.

Sorry you had a rough day ! Just take it a day at a time. Even if you are not eating enough the baby will get what it needs from your body. Make sure you baby your band today and do the shakes until things calm down.

Yeah that's what I plan on doing. No heavy stuff...mostly Protein Shakes and probably some yogurt or pudding. As the baby gets bigger things will start moving out the way to make way for her right? Does that include our stomach and lapband? I'm sure our stomachs aren't excluded just because we have lapband lol but I'm curious as they grt bigger will this get worse. What do you think?

From what I've read most of us have to get Fluid taken out towards the end because of running out of room. I'm hoping to hang on as long as possible. How big is your band ? Mine is a 10cc and I have 6ccs in it right now. Today wasn't the best for me. I've been so exhausted and I ate lunch at 11 and started feeling sick right away. Not baby sick but band sick like it didn't go down and like it was gonna come up. I left work and came home and been asleep for a few hours. I should have never went to work on my birthday anyways lol bad karma :) im the big 33 today !! I feel better right this second..my hubby wants us to go have dinner when he gets home, which is the last thing I wanna do but I think he has something up his sleeve so I will go along with it. I can always order Soup haha. Hope today was better for you...ttyl

Haha well happy birthday! I think its a 10cc. I had a complete unfill at 16 weeks because I couldn't keep anything down. I'm not sure if it was lapband or my gallbladder. So I've been without Fluid for 10 weeks now. Yeah after last night of the food coming back up and me drinking for the past 12 or more hours I feel much better. I've never had this happen until after Lapband but when I throw up I get these dots all over my face and neck. It looks awful but as long as I feel better I don't care lol. My fiancee asks how I know the difference between baby sick and band sick....I told him its a distinct difference haha. I hope he does something special for you :-) and I hope you feel better soon!

Thank you !! After much sleep and lots of nasty burping I do feel better...never actually threw up...still dog tired..this baby is kicking my butt ! I swear I wasn't this tired with my first..but I was also 24 when I had her. We had dinner with some friends and it was nice. I'm just ready for bed and already dreading work in the morning ! I can't imagine a complete unfill...once they took out all but one cc because i had gotten sick and I cried so much and was so scared but only gained 10lbs. Even with 6ccs I still feel like I can eat more at times than I should. But I can feel the restriction which is a great comfort for me. I gained so much weight with my daughter and had gestational diabetes it was rough. I really hope this pregnancy is better controlled and I'm hoping my band will help. That's crazy you are still having food come up with nothing in your band, you may be swollen from just being pregnant. Do you know what you are having yet ? I'm patiently waiting for my first ultrasound next Thursday !! I need to see ONE healthy baby inside. Twins are a big fear for me. They run on both sides of my family and my husbands. And with me feeling so tired and belly poking out from being so bloated so early its in the back of my mind ! I know every pregnancy is different but this one is nothing like my first other than no morning sickness either time. Its so nice being able to talk to you :)

It really is nice to talk to someone that is in my position lol. Yes we are having a little princess and she has kicked my tail. Ill be 27 weeks friday and I still have morning sickness. Last year about the middle of July we had a miscarriage and we were crushed but then got pregnant again in December and we are just over the moon. This is our first. I'm 26 and my fiancee will be 25 in July. We found out for sure on his birthday we had a miscarriage :( thats why no matter what this one puts me through I'm thankful she's even in there and able to make me sick and kick me lol. We have twins on both sides of our family and there hasn't been any in awhile but we are only having one thank goodness for right now lol. I was told by Dr. Bagnato that ill probably have a rough third trimester and I'm guessing because of the baby being big and crowding my stomach. I cried when I found out the best thing was to get a complete unfill because I've done so good with lapband I was scared I would just blow back up but as of now I'm alright and I'm definitely not trying to diet because I get sick so easily I try and eat on the days that I can. The burping is really nasty lol but I have found that if I lay on my left side sometimes the gas comes up better and I'm not stuck as long. My mamma tried it and it worked for her too lol. She just got lapband so she's getting her feet wet with it. She hasn't got her first fill yet so her and I are in the same boat right now.

Congrats on the baby girl !!! I really want another girl but will happy either way. So sorry to hear about the Mc. I just turned 33 I guess technically yesterday now lol. My Lord I'm wide awake now. All the sleeping I did is back firing on me now ! If you do FB feel free to add me. I'm MrsBridget Harris on there. Then you can actually see who you are talking to since this site will not let me updated a pic on my profile ! I haven't saw Dr Bagnato since my first fill. I just use the fill center now. I love his staff and the ones in the fill center also they are all so nice ! Its great you and your Mom have each other to go through the band together. I just had to wing it myself, there was a lady at work that had it done that kinda told me about it but I didn't really talk to her that much and then a friend of mine at work had the sleeve done and her experience was different. She lives in Warner Robins also and she just had plastic surgery... She looks amazing now ! Well I'm about to try and count some sheep again because if not I will be half dead when I get there ! This is my last week in my current position... I got a promotion and start the new job on Monday !! So many exciting things happening. Also if you add me on fb just know we haven't announced the pregnancy yet..we are planning to do a big announcement after my appt next Thursday !!!! I love some Pinterest they have so many ideas for announcing...ttyl :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
