alwaysvegas 702 Posted March 17, 2015 Does the tube removal hurt? Most people said it didn't hurt when they took it out. I thought it hurt for about three to four seconds then it felt normal again. I did clench my teeth and utter some sort of blasphemy. But all over and done and totally worth it. Ummm, what's a tube track? Drain tube

Annesia 13 Posted March 18, 2015 Thanks i really want to be prepared..my biggest concerns are having what i need as well as pain levels...i know a tube is put in to assist in breathing and i hope the removal isnt painful as well
sallyomalley67 77 Posted March 18, 2015 Ohh. Yeah. They knock u out so u wont feel it being put in. And u r loopy coming out of anesthesia when it comes out. No biggie
Annesia 13 Posted March 18, 2015 What about pain levels and down time? Were u up in a matter of days or weeks
sallyomalley67 77 Posted March 18, 2015 HA! U r up quickly walking. They like us to start walking within 2hours after being moves from recovery. The pain for me was minimal. The air left over from surgery was closer to painful. And walking makes it go away so as soon as I could hold my head up, i asked if i could walk, and where are the ice chips lol. Bring your chapstick! Your lips will be dry. And i walkes w my ice chip cup everywhere i went. :-) Walk. sleep. Walk. Sleep. Home. Walk. Sleep. That will be for a few days. Your first shower will feel so good.
