Hey, I see that Paris Hilton has been released from prison after serving three days of her 23 day sentence. Oh to be white and have money and influence in America.:( Susannah

Yeah, that disgusts me. If it were anyone else, they would have just said, "Suck it up and deal with it." Pisses me off.

FFS, what medical condition warranting sending her home could have made itself known after 3 days that they werent aware of before? Cocaine withdrawal?

I wanted to see her get nice and cosy with Big Mamma for 45 days, lol.

That just ticked me off. Being confined to a home like she must have would be like a spa vacation for the rest of us.

I'll bet within a week she's in trouble for leaving the house.

I have heard both the "rash" story and "psychological issues". One talking head said they were afraid she was having a nervous breakdown. Poor baby!

This woman gives dumb blondes a bad name!

I joked with my husband that instead of her house for house arrest, she should be stuck in MY house for the full time. LOL. I live in a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath townhouse. It would kill her to live here. As for being someone's bitch she was in a cell alone. ~Mandy

Well, now it looks like she might be going back to the slammer. Apparently, the judge that sentenced her specifically ordered no release with electronic monitoring. There's a hearing tomorrow morning to see if the sheriff's department was in contempt of court when they released her to house arrest.

The shit has hit the fan for the princess. My husband heard she is having trouble going to the bathroom with people watching and is talking to her shrink about it.

Leno and Letterman are going to have a field day,,

Where is this info coming from? Who is watching her? She is in a cell alone in an area for celebrities, and public officials. She has to be back in court tomorrow, she just might be back in jail by this time tomorrow night. Paris Hilton ordered to return to court - Yahoo! News

A power struggle between the sheriff and the sentencing judge...it should be a lot of fun to watch this play out.

He (the sheriff) had to know this would cause a huge backlash from an indignant public. Whatever her excuse...a mysterious rash, a nervous breakdown in the making, or her inability to pee/poop in front of other people...the average citizen would get zero sympathy for the same condition. Besides, this is the same woman who participated in videotaped sex. I don't want to hear how modest she is. Crap like that just insults my intelligence.

Did anyone see her at the MTV awards show?

The host STARTS the show by talking about Paris and her upcoming jail term.

Host Sarah Silverman "The warden wants to make her feel comfortable, so he is having the bars of her cell painted to look like penises".

lol

The camera show Paris in audience and her expression is priceless. She smirks. To me she is saying that wasn't funny.

But oh no it doesn't end there.

Host "we are all worried that she will chip her teeth".

LOL

The camera goes to Paris again. She really smirks and to me her expression says that was disgusting.

That is MTV for you. Remember fart Man?

I thought it was hilarious. Cruel but she wants to be famous.

parents beware MTV is for grown-ups but marketed for teens! Just watch some of the videos!

I hadn't been following this since her release; I assumed after that all the news stories were just focusing over and over on that. I'm glad to hear she may be going back.

Sometimes reading the posts here make me wonder if some people just weren't mentally ready for WLS and needed more time with the bariatric team psychiatrist. Complaining about the limited drink/food choices early on... blah..blah...blah. The living to eat mentality really needs to go and be replaced with eating to live. JS

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.
