changes1 14 Posted March 17, 2015 Okay I've been waiting to have my surgery since August. My surgery is next monday. Just had my preop on Friday. Well today my regular doctor calls me and says he needs to see me in regards to my lab work. Long story short I end up speaking to his nurse she says my white blood count was high. She aside if I wa sick and I said no just real bad allergies. I did tell her I was sick a month ago. She said usually high white blood count means my body is fighting an infection. Aww I'm so bummed I have to go get new lab work done today. I doubt anything will change since Friday. It really hard for me to find someone to watch my child while I have surgery and I actually found someone and everything was falling into place until today:( has this happened to anyone else? CanyonBaby 1,852 Posted March 17, 2015 I am so sorry for your situation, but take heart, things ALWAYS happen for a reason, even though we may never know the reason. It's best they find this out now instead of on the operating table. Now they can attack what's going on and you can hopefully put it behind you. Can the people who were to care for your child do it down the road? I am going to keep you in my prayers, please keep us informed!
