Yeah my cat's never really be interested in cat toys either..but then, she has the dog to wrestle with :-) She loves savoury biscuits & doritos and will sit for hours trying to steal them off me! (probably a good thing)

LeslieLee 0 Posted October 17, 2007 Ok now it is my turn. Here are my little buddies. Shilo is a 7 1/2 year old Jack Russell Terrior and the best walking buddy I have. She is always ready to go and never too tired or busy. Eager to please and happy to just be near . She is also one of the smartest dogs I have lived with... Used to be quite the escape artist...lol there is a story there. Oh and yes she wraps herself in her blanket, always has. She loves to nest in it it's like her very own little cocoon. Tiz is about 6 1/2 and came from a farm near where I live. She has never truly left the farm. Still is quite a handful, always walking on the wild side. lol but she is Shilo's best friend. They are almost impossible to separate. (ask me about the pound episode sometime) Where one goes the other is never too far behind. Tiz is short for Tizzy Fit which fits her to a T. She is more dog I think than cat. I love them both.

They are wonderful companions, trusted friends and much loved family members. You are doing the right thing by burying him in the yard. I know it will be hard but let me tell you knowing he's still at 'home' makes all the difference. I have my pet beagle Luna buried in my backyard (it's one year today that we lost her) but visiting her little spot in the backyard is really quite comforting. I'll be thinking of you. I miss him dearly. I am getting him cremated and burying him in the yard *BIG HUG* It is very hard, my childhood kitty died last fall at the age of 15 (which btw, is incredible for a mainly outdoor cat in the country). It makes your heart tear. I'm sending you much luv and hugs.
mbanja 1 Posted October 20, 2007 I have 3 dogs, Fritzi, LuLu, and Coconut. I also have 5 cats, Teeny, Sneek (a whoping siamese mix 20 pounder),Dandylion, Fred (poor thing he is the only boy in a house fulla girls), Honkers, oh wait make that 6 cats I forgot about the stray that showed up in our neighborhood about 2 weeks ago, her name is Scrowdy. My house is like a mini humane society. All of ours are strays. Honkers we saved from being put to sleep. Teeny my husband found while on a call (he is a police officer) she was trapped in a root celler and about to die. I also raised a baby squirel. My neighbors were having their roof redone and one of the workers found a tiny baby squirel in the gutter. His eyes weren't even open. We named him Scooter. He was wonderful. I was a police dispatcher at the time and took him to work in a purse so I could feed him every 2 hours. Noone ever knew I had him. We bought him a ferret cage to live in in the house. It was like a cat television. The cats would just sit and watch him play. We wanted to keep him but knew he was wild so I raised him to be a healthy boy and my Hubby built a nice house and we reintroduced him to outside. We would be walking down our walkway and he would just jump on our shoulders or head and love us up. Sadly he got a girlfriend and she put him in line and let him know that humans were a no no. He never came to us again, but we do leave seeds out so our property is full of squirels and chipmunks. Scooter was wonderful and I think that it was Gods way of testing us to see if we were ready to be parents. Just after we let him go I found out I was pregnant. I don't know what I would do with out my 4legged babies. They make life so much better!!!
