Bariatric Vitamin home delivery good? Or No?

Recommended Posts

@@Elode It's really the B12 spray that is prescription. You should be able to transfer the script to your regular pharmacy for the same co-pay if you wanted. I went back to my Andrew Lessman Vitamins, but had the spray transferred to Express Scripts. Whether it's real or in my head, at the moment I think I feel better with the spray than the dissolving B12 I have.

@@hillgirly I will try that thank you. I don't know what's in these Vitamins but I keep trying to take them and they just make me nauseas every time. I'm done with them.

I use this program but I can't tolerate their multi. I do use everything else. I'll use it a bit longer to see if my tummy decides to behave. Otherwise I'll get the B12 from my pharmacy.

My NUT have this out during the group pre op appointment this week. She said it is personal preference due to whether or not you like the pills and stuff.

I'm going back to these! They are what I used since the beginning, never made me sick even on a empty stomach and gave me good labs! They are chewable even though I no longer need the chewable it doesn't hurt.

@@faith19evans Oh good I hope you like them. I need to order some more too. They don't have that powder to cream texture that I hate. I actually like the flavor. You will have to let me know what you think. I wasn't sure about ordering them at first but they had good reviews and they also have a good dose of minerals not all Vitamins have the minerals included. Hopefully you will like them I know they aren't the cheapest but like I said they have never made me sick after eating them which is a blessing because so many do some deathly ill until I throw up. Not pleasant.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
