RitaRIver 3 Posted March 12, 2015 Hey all! I get my surgery Monday March 16! I'm really nervous and excited! What can I expect after surgery? I've made sure to put gas x strips on my shopping list and sugar free popsicles, pudding, and Jello. I have the powders? utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury (sp?) Soup they've given me that's full of Protein and a heating pad for this shoulder pain I keep hearing about! Am I missing anything? Oh! And I also got bio oil for the scarring! Bandista 7,466 Posted March 12, 2015 Hi there, so exciting! I stepped up my exercise prior to surgery -- it really helped to walk off some of that nervous energy and gave me something to step into after surgery. I mean right after, too. As soon as I woke up and felt like I needed to pee I took my IV pole on a little stroll. Went a bit farther down the hall each time. I had flip flops to slip into easily -- didn't use the robe I brought as they had one there. Once homes. Kept up the walking and I really think that kicked my body into healing mode. And shedding. Can't think of anything else. You are going to do great - keep us posted!
briefs199 337 Posted March 16, 2015 Good luck tomorrow!! Make sure someone fills your pain meds before you get home. Bring Chapstick someone told me and a pillow for when you ride home and can keep it against your stomach.
