x0CheekzVSG 77 Posted March 11, 2015 Hello All! I keep hearing about all the different size bougie's that doctors use and I want to know what's truly the difference ? If you they use a smaller bougie do you lose more weight rather than a larger one? Hope you guys can shed some light on this for me before I see my surgeon next week. Thanks! bobbyswife 862 Posted March 11, 2015 It's so minimal, it really doesn't matter. What matters is what you put in your body post op. Protein, protein, protein.
alwaysvegas 702 Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) My surgeon said it depends more on how tight the surgeon pulls the stomach and staples/sutures the sleeve than the bougie size. Don't worry, your sleeve will be restrictive enough. Best of luck on on your journey! Edited March 11, 2015 by AlwaysVegas
x0CheekzVSG 77 Posted March 11, 2015 Thank you guys! I was jus concerned I was on some website that says the bigger the bougie the more weight you will lose long term but if you use a smaller one then you lose more weight short term. Ugh it was jus confusing
