I was sleeved 2/25 and altho at first getting my liquids in was hard I now get about two premier shakes a day to get my 60g of Protein and I get Water in, I've tried scrambled eggs and everything goes in fine and altho in small portions I feel like I'm not losing weight! The scale hasn't budged in a few days and it's weird because I only get 320 calories a day!

Many of us experience a plateau/stall near-ish three-weeks post op, though it can vary. It's very normal and your weight loss will resume. You body went through a major surgery and nutritional changes. Your body is adjusting.

Hang in there and best of luck!

dont worry about the scale. Go by how you feel and how your clothes fit. That is what helps me get through the slower days when it seems my scale isn't moving.

In addition to all of the above I do the Soup broth that adds a bit more calories. And I drink Vitamin water zero, which has more vitamins and electrolytes. Maybe give that a try.

My "dreaded 2 week stall" lasted 2 1/2 weeks. It's a common problem. Your body thinks you're starving it and holds on to as much as it can. IT WILL END!!! But it is kind of discouraging, but try not to let it get you down. This too, shall pass!!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
