So I am finally home.

I am trying to figure out whether I am hungry or not.

Every time I sip on some broth or have a sip of my Water I feel like I feel everything going down and am worried it's gonna all come up.

Also I was wondering how long my belly & stomach will have that hollow feeling.

It's very uncomfortable to lay down.

Please help.

Sounds normal to me! I had my surgery in December and still have that hollow feeling, not sure it will go away, but I am used to it now, not a big deal. Just take things real s l o w !!! Swallow slowly, and just tiny sips, but keep sipping even if it uncomfortable. Try drinking lukewarm liquids to start, cold and/or hot may make you uncomfortable. Is this your first surgery? Things should improve daily, a little at a time, but it may be real slow for you - everyone heals differently. Did you have hiatal hernia repair at the same time? If you did, that may slow things up even more so. Just be gentle and patient with yourself, give yourself lots of TLC - you've just been through ALOT!

Yes this is my first surgery. No hernia.

I am feeling post surgery depression about food.

I already miss it. Jello and crystal light is not my idea of a meal.

Crushing my pills was so disgusting tasting.

I've done chicken broth which is probably the only highlight of my days so far.

Thanks for the assurance on the hollow feeling.

I figured as much.

@ smarvel. I am 8 days post sleeve, and it does get better. sugar free Popsicles have been my fav. They are cooling and taste good. My biggest issues have been soreness and fatigue. But the soreness started getting lots better yesterday. I still have an open wound in my abdomen because when they removed the stomach tissue, it ruptured. I go back Monday. Hopefully they close it up then. Hang in there. The time passes pretty quickly. We will get to eat solid foods before too long. Remember, we are building new relationships with food, because the old relationships didn't work! Hang in there!
