Military life after wls?

I was wondering if anyone went into the military after surgery? I hear that you can't but the point of the surgery was for a healthier life.

I had my surgery at a military treatment facility. Part of the pre op information we were given was that post bariatric surgery, a person is no longer qualified for military service. I don't know if it's the change in your anatomy or the restriction of your diet, but it is not compatible with military service.
