Not so victorious NSV

Recommended Posts

So this morning I'm getting dressed and pull on my sports bra and undies. Something didn't quite look right in the mirror and I realized I had put my bra on backwards....and it fit fine! Thats how pitifully tiny my boobies are now. I literally laughed out loud and flipped it around the right way. But I don't think that's what they meant by "reversible".

My boobs are the same way. I hate wearing bras because I really don't need one. Clothes look better when I wear one, but it's hard to find one small enough in the cup that has any material on the sides.

@@Oregondaisy Even though I'm a B cup these days, they are very floppy B's because of all the extra skin (picture a tennis ball in a tube sock ????) so my boobs fall out of most regular B cup bras when I bend over. Then I found Coobie bras. They are SO comfy and everything stays tucked in! Anemone bras are basically the same thing and you can't beat the price...$12. And of course, they are "reversible"!

Those bras do look really comfortable. Where do you get the other brand that is only $12?

A local clothing boutique has them for $12 (that's where I got mine). But here's one source online....

And I actually saw them on Amazon for only $9

Funny, I just saw them today at JC Penny and at Walmart. I bought 3 at walmart.

I think they were 5.97

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
