Djmohr 6,965 Posted April 10, 2015 I was on a 10 day liquid diet. 4 Protein Shakes a day and Clear Liquids only. I lost 11lbs in 10 days. It did not even bother me after day 4. I drank a lot of good chicken broth because I got so sick of the sweet Protein Drinks.< /p>
tanya131313 5 Posted April 10, 2015 My date is April 23rd. Is anyone having a hard time with this liquid diet? I have been drinking Unjury, Isopure, different kinds of shakes and I am tired of everything already. I just started yesterday and I cheated today. It wasn't really bad but I had hard boiled egg whites and a small piece of boneless skinless chicken. Any suggestion??
kcadoret 81 Posted April 11, 2015 I found the liquid stage hard too but I found that the more liquid I drank and the busier I stayed the easier it got. I also chewed sugar free gum...

I live with my boyfriend and he committed to the liquid only stage with me. We sent all our perishable food to my moms house and kept only approved food for our diet in the house everything else went into the freezer. If there's nothing available that you're not supposed to eat, then you can't it eat it. On my lunch breaks at work I ran errands. At easter while everyone was eating i hid the eggs for the kids to hunt after dinner. Edited April 11, 2015 by blashlee
tanya131313 5 Posted April 17, 2015 What should I pack for the hospital? My doctor said I will be in the hospital for 4-5 days. Is that right? Is just preparing me for worst case scenario?
avermette 30 Posted April 17, 2015 My surgery was on a Monday afternoon and I was released from hospital the next afternoon. Back to work the following monday. Everyone is different and every surgeon is different.
elisabeth1968 4 Posted April 17, 2015 My surgery date is March 23rd. My surgeon requires a two week pre-op diet which consists of four Protein drinks daily and only clear liquids. Well I have three days till I start and let me just say I am eating anything and everything I can. I'm so excited for this life changing surgery and I'm scared. I know I will be able to eat things I want in moderation again someday. I just feel like this is the time to eat whatever guilt free! Anyone else experiencing this "last supper syndrome" ? I went to every restaurant and had all of my favourite foods without guilt. I had surgery on April 2nd and right now am craving chips and salsa from lone star. are you from Canada? sparksrn 65 Posted April 17, 2015 I just went to a consultation and have started the psych eval, nutritionist, etc and I'm already having the last supper syndrome! I know once I have the surgery there are things I can never eat again, I'm like an addict, a little and I'm hooked again. I can't eat sweets or I'll eat them again to the point I will gain weight. I know I won't be able to eat much after surgery and my appetite won't be good after the surgery so that is my chance to change my eating habits. Some things I am just going to have to give up forever or I'll be eating them again to much!
