DizzyLib 45 Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) I'm 6 weeks post surgery, on soft foods and have been doing well weightloss wise, but I am again having a bad period of no energy and no motivation for anything. I had this before I moved onto pureed foods as well and attributed it to the severely less intake of food (& variety of food). I get all my fluids in and still have 1-2 Protein Drinks a day and often a Quest Protein Bar also. I take my Vitamins. I try to go for a walk each day but at the moment I'm just tired out. I can only eat about 1/4 cup of food for Breakfast, lunch & dinner. Is this normal and how can I increase my nutrition intake? (if this will help). Any help/experiences much appreciated. lslblues 45 Posted March 5, 2015 I sometimes feel low on energy. B12 and Gatorade G2 or Powerade Zero really help boost my energy levels. Have you talked to your doctor/nutritionist about it? I'd ask about increasing carbs slightly. What is your normal daily caloric intake? Carbs/protein grams?
DizzyLib 45 Posted March 6, 2015 Thanks for that. My daily average intake would be 800cal, 70 Protein & 40 carbs
