*Lexie* 1,486 Posted March 4, 2015 Your doctor should have a list of foods and timeline for each stage after surgery. Typically you're on liquids for a few weeks, then puree/soft foods and eventually transition to regular food.
TheRealMeIsHere! 863 Posted March 4, 2015 yes, your doctor and nutritionist should have this info for you. You didn't have to go to pre-op classes? Usually Clear Liquids, then full liquids, puree, soft then regular.

lslblues 45 Posted March 5, 2015 As they have already said, your doctor will give you a program to follow. Mine was 10 days clear liquids, 4 days full liquids, 1 week pureed, 1 week soft, then introduce new foods. Longer waits for lettuce, fruits/veggies with skin, crunchy food, dry food, etc. General answer is a couple months. No one can answer your question except your doctor and dietician. That is who you need to be asking.
