Momof2! 0 Posted March 4, 2015 Im 3 weeks to the day from my surgery and the surgery itself hasn't been hard for me at all Im healing very well and didn't need pain meds. but about a week ago it started to feel like everything I put in just hit right between my breasts and stayed there, now Im suffering GREATLY with reflux it wakes me up at nite cause it feels like im having a heart attack then its just pain all the way down my throat. My family Dr called me in liquid Zantac and it burnt all the way down and didn't help, now everything I try to eat or drink just hurts. Also I cant burp but feel like I need to, my throat makes a funny gurgly sound all the time and I feel like I cant swallow anything, Also I have been getting very dizzy everytime I stand it feels like Im going to pass out, my face and ears become real hot and I have to close my eyes and stand still for a few seconds. Has anyone suffered with any of this? Im desperate to find anything to help.
blperry91 2 Posted March 4, 2015 I'm right at a month out and just feel nauseous, dizzy upon standing, and very fatigued. I finally called my surgeons office and have an appointment this friday. Hope we figure something out. If I do figure anything out I will pass information along. Hope you get to feeling better.

Ksunseri 1 Posted March 6, 2015 Sounds like dehydration ...
bikrchk 1,313 Posted March 6, 2015 Does sound like dehydration. Less fluids can lower your blood pressure and cause dizziness on standing. I get it now occasionally even still, (which is funny as one of my qualifying comorbidities was high bp uncontrolled on 3 meds)! Make a conscious effort to get more fluids and add some G2 or other electrolyte beverage once a day. Also raising the head of the bed (I used bed lifts under the top 2 feet) can help the night time reflux along with a good PPI 2x day.
blperry91 2 Posted March 6, 2015 Thank you for all the advice I will definately try more Water. I just left my Surgeons office and was given a Thiamine shot for nausea and was told to start taking Vitamin B 100 along with my bariatric Vitamins. Also my BP is a little high...doc said is was normal due to my body adjusting but went ahead a prescribed hydrochlorizide for now.

The pill is small enough to swallow. Edited March 22, 2015 by BLERDgirl
