gabby_megs 3 Posted March 4, 2015 I'm 30 days post op from the sleeve. Please tell me I am not the only one who has a wierd smell to them?!? I obviously shower daily and recently I've been showering in the AM before work and then again as soon as I get home, because I feel stinky! My urine is super super strong, and I'm drinking Water all day long, maybe a couple sips of watered down juice or a GC Gatorade, but nonetheless being aware of constant sips to keep my hydration up. Also, I feel like I've got pregnancy nose ... everything is very strong, especially cigarette smoke (I've never been a smoker), but it really makes me naseaus now just to smell one of my employees who is coming back from a smoke break. Not complaining, don't regret my decision at all, just needing some validation that I'm not crazy! Cheers! 1 clsumrall reacted to this

GreenEyes604 753 Posted March 4, 2015 Some of what you are smelling is the Protein seeping out of your pores. The Protein will also make your poop smell like someone crawled up inside of you and died! It's terrible. It will definitely subside as you start replacing your Protein shakes and powders with real food.
carolvalen 24 Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) Yes... my nose is super sensitive. We walked in to McDonalds and right away I could smell dirty fishy old Stinky grease. Yuck. I can smell everything and from a distance. Edited March 4, 2015 by carolvalen
Alora VSG Begonia 53 Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) It's the smell your body makes when you are in ketosis. Drink more Water (I know easier said than done) and try taking some magnesium too. Edited March 4, 2015 by Debranua
