WendieBryant 11 Posted March 2, 2015 Oh I'm so glad to hear that, I hate the pain the comes with swallowing
Tauruslady5 154 Posted March 3, 2015 Breathe and take one day at a time. Pain when swallowing? Does it feel like glass? Does your tongue have a white tinge to it? If so, it is Thrush. I ended up with that. Hurt when I swallowed. Then I realized my tongue looked not normal. Two weeks of antibiotics and all better. Get past the next few weeks, and you will be awesome. CE24 23 Posted March 4, 2015 I also am having these problems and im a week out. It doesn't really happen so much with liquids as just foods and yes im eating puréed foods in very small bites. I find that if I take a deep breath as its happening it seems to stop it. Perhaps you could try that? Good luck and Id definitely mention it to your surgeon at your post op.
