Mine is a ready -made shake (premier Protein in chocolate only) I've been drinking them since pre-op..everyday...still not sick of them. I haven't tried a whole lot of powders but from the ones I have tried I like Syntrax PB cookie.

So far, Unjury. chocolate, and chicken Soup. These aren't powder, but I also use Isopure zero carb, and Premier Protein.< /p>

EAS powder or pre-mix are my favorites. CVS brand is a close second to EAS powder.

Muscle Milk 100 Calorie was okay. It was smooth and had the creamy mouth feel of a smoothie.

I thought Isopure Grape Frost in the glass bottles would be amazing, but the aftertaste was horrid. I finished it because it was expensive, I'm cheap, and I didn't have another Protein source ready to go. I won't be trying any of their other flavors.

On the candy front, Quest Peanut Butter cups were amazing, but that's 1/2 my calories for the day.

Isopure is gross, but a great source of Protein. I mix half of the bottle the grape frost with Powerade zero, or crystal light, a day. 10oz isopure with about 8-10oz of whatever i mixed it with. The black tea lemon is far better than grape, but i still mix it. I like raspberry ice Crystal Light.

ISO100... Cookies and Cream!... Mixes well with just shaking. No gritty/vitamin taste.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
