sweetie716 270 Posted March 1, 2015 Hey everybody, for the past couple weeks I've been having slight headaches. They're so minor that most of the time I can ignore them and put them totally out of my mind, but they have been coming back again and again, all times of the day. I had a cold the week before last so I thought maybe it was related to sinuses, but I've been better for a while now, but the headaches are still there. Has anyone else had this? I have a doctor's appointment this Friday, so I'll definitely ask there, but I wanted to see if this is a common thing. Oh, I'll be 3 months out on the 11th. I get my 64 oz of fluids and my 60 grams of Protein a day, and I take my Vitamins (a bariatric multi w/ Iron, a Calcium chew, a b-complex, and a Biotin chew). I doubt it's dehydration. My bp has been very good at all my checkups. Any ideas on what this might be?
Elode 8,093 Posted March 1, 2015 How many calories/food are you eating? If you caloric intake is too low that can cause headaches.
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted March 1, 2015 I would try upping fluids. 64 ounces might not be enough for you. Presleeve we consumed so much more volume we got Fluid even in some food and lots of drinking. I think rapid weight loss can cause chemical and hormone changes and whatever is stored in that fat. I think Water helps us flush toxins and I wonder if you don't need more. Btw, I used to get hunger headaches but post sleeve I never do. My experience-it's more likely to be mild, chronic dehydration.
sweetie716 270 Posted March 1, 2015 I normally fall between 600-800. I averaged about 710 this past week.
Wynnie 186 Posted March 1, 2015 I had these in the beginning as well, and once I got to the point of better consistent Fluid intake they went away. Keep following your plan, and they will go away.
